To successfully grow strawberries, you'll need to meet these garden requirements:

1. Sunlight: Ensure your strawberry patch receives at least 6 hours of full sun daily.

2. Soil: Opt for well-drained, humus-rich soil to provide the best growing conditions.

3. Watering: Regular watering is crucial to keep the strawberry plants hydrated and healthy.

4. Mulch: Use a thick layer of mulch, around 10cm deep, to protect the fruit from dirt, damage, and fungal diseases. Traditionally, straw was used as mulch, but alternatives like disease-free grass clippings, pine needles, leaves, or newspaper strips can work too. Mulch also helps suppress weeds and maintains soil moisture.

5. Planting Time: For transplanting strawberry plants, the best time is from August to November. If you prefer starting from seeds, sow them in September and transplant the seedlings within the next 3 months.
