Last week, we asked our community what they would love to find at our very first Funkee Monkee Farmers Market. Across our page, personal pages and the local Facebook groups where we shared the post, we received so many responses.

And what a wonderful response it was!

Fresh produce, coffee, baked treats, plants, handmade goodies, car boot treasures, farmyard finds, lekker music and so much more. Some of you even struggled to choose just three. 😂

To every single person who took the time to comment, share their ideas or tell us what they would love to see, thank you. We genuinely appreciate your input. You're helping us understand what our community is looking for, and we can't wait to see this little market come to life.

Now, to our local vendors...

There's a place here for YOU.

Whether you're an established business with a loyal following, a small business just finding its feet, or someone who has been quietly making, baking, growing or creating something wonderful from home, we'd love to hear from you.

Maybe you make the rusks everyone keeps asking for. Maybe you grow beautiful plants, create handmade gifts, sell fresh produce, prepare delicious food, or have a boot full of treasures waiting for their next home.

You don't need a fancy storefront. You don't need to be a big business.

You just need something worth sharing.

We're so excited to discover new faces, new products and the people behind them. Come introduce yourself, set up your stall and let our community discover what you do.

VENDOR FEES

Food Truck: R150 EFT | R130 Cash
Gazebo Stall: R100 EFT | R80 Cash
Car Boot & Livestock: R60 EFT | R50 Cash

Vendor setup starts at 06:00. Please bring your own gazebo, table, chairs and equipment. Food vendors must bring their own gas and equipment. Electricity is available at an additional cost.

Sometimes the best days out aren't found in the middle of town.

They're down a road you don't usually take.

They're fresh air, good food, local makers, little treasures, live music, farm-fresh finds and a few hours spent somewhere different.

And as it turns out… we're really not that far away.

Whether you're coming from Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage, Despatch, Bluewater Bay, Jeffreys Bay, Hankey, Patensie, St Francis Bay, Kirkwood, Addo or anywhere in between, pack the family into the car and come make a day of it.

Because on 3 October, that little drive leads to something Funkee.

So... what kind of market IS this? 👀

The kind where you arrive for one thing and somehow leave with fresh produce, something delicious to eat, a handmade treasure, a car boot bargain... and probably a story or two to tell.

Funkee Monkee Farmers Market is about bringing a little bit of everything together in one relaxed, welcoming space.

Whether you're coming to shop, browse, eat, discover something new or simply enjoy a day out in the fresh air, we'd love to have you.

From the people behind Funkee Monkee comes something a little different...

Introducing Funkee Monkee Farmers Market, a new community market bringing together good food, local vendors, car boot finds, livestock and plenty to browse, discover and enjoy.

And this is only the beginning.

Our vision is to create a space where local businesses can trade, families can spend time together and our community has another reason to get out and enjoy a good market day.

Our first market takes place on 3 October 2026
Next to Eagles Nest Wedding Venue, Rocklands Road, Uitenhage Farms
Public entry is FREE

Over the next few weeks, we'll be showing you what's coming, introducing some of the people joining us and sharing everything you need to know before our very first market day.

And yes... vendor bookings are officially open. 👀
