Take your time to visit the interesting plant displays, glass houses, fernhouse, lily pond, bonsai trees and art exhibition hosted by the impressive SUBG team. Don't forget to sit down and relax at the Botanical Café, offering cozy meals & beverages, and pop in at the stunning SUBG Gift Shop - where you'll find fantastic nature-inspired decor, fragrances, art, plants & more.

The week is looking super gloomy so far, but this weekend promises sunshine! 🌞 And there's no better way to make the most out of beautiful weather, than enjoying fresh air and strolling at your local market.

Get lost in the buzz of community, where you can discover a fantastic collection of creative art, impressive craftwork, homemade condiments, snacks, home decor, stunning apparel, accessories & other wonderful pop-up shops. Enjoy groovy music flowing in the air, while you wander around the magical pathways of Stellenbosch Botanical Garden.

Don't forget to make a pit stop the Botanical Cafe, welcoming you with hearty smiles and delicious meals. Then make your way to the gorgeous SUBG Gift Shop, offering a variety selection of nature-inspired goods such as fragrances, kitchenware, lovely artwork, plants and more!

We will be opening our gates both Saturday AND Sunday to celebrate the incredible mother figures around us.

🐰 Market in the Garden Stellenbosch is open this Easter! Visit Market in the Garden with your loved ones, and keep the little ones entertained while enjoying a breathtaking experience at the Stellenbosch Botanical Garden.

Wander through fun, magical pathways leading you to a collection of vibrant pop-up shops - such as pastries, deli goods, handcrafted decor, art, apparel & more. As well as plant displays around every corner - such as a curated bonsai tree collection, tropical & arid glasshouses, educational examples of local threatened habitats & more. 🌿

Bring your blanket and basket to enjoy a peaceful picnic on the lawn, head over to the food hub to enjoy refreshing mocktails, quality coffee and snacks, or relax at the lovely Botanical Café offering excellent drinks & meals under the trees.

Tomorrow is our LAST Dorp Street Sunday Market! 👋

Come bid farewell to festive Sundays in Dorp Street, support hard working entrepreneurs one last time, and enjoy a refreshing beverage & meal at one of the many wonderful eateries in Stellenbosch 🌿

While the future is unknown, we're certain we did a fantastic job the past 5+ years to create an inclusive, diverse, welcoming community space for all ages to enjoy. 🫶

This Sunday, 22 February 2026, we bid our farewell to Dorp Street Sunday Market. 👋

Come celebrate the incredible experience we created together as a community over the past 5+ years. Explore fantastic pop-up shops, from fresh goods, delicious deli products, handcrafted decor, vintage apparel & more from hard working entrepreneurs.

After enjoying a stimulating stroll, visit one of the many wonderful local eateries & cafés lined along the magical streets of Stellenbosch.

Don't miss this last opportunity to see Dorp Street come to life on a Sunday!✨️

After this Sunday, 22 February 2026, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Dorp Street Sunday Market will not continue.

While we're very proud of what we built together on Dorp Street, we believe our energy is best invested in partnerships that offer consistency and long-term alignment. Our focus now shifts toward our ongoing collaborations where we can continue creating meaningful, community-driven experiences.

We're incredibly grateful to every vendor, customer, neighbour and supporter who brought Dorp Street to life on Sundays again! The energy, creativity and sense of community we experienced together is something we will always value and keep with us as motivation when we take on new projects. The heart of the Dorp Street Sunday Market has always been the people behind it.

While this chapter comes to a close, our vision remains the same: creating meaningful, welcoming spaces for local entrepreneurs to advertise and grow their business, and for the Stellenbosch community to gather.

While we've not secured a Sunday Market space yet, we're actively working on alternative locations and new collaborations. This is not something that will happen very soon, since a Market space requires a lot of research, time and effort in order to be a success all around.
