So the Butcher and I did a butterfly lamb leg on the braai for dinner during the Easter weekend, well there were left overs, so we put it in the fridge for another meal. I got stir fry mix from the store and woked it verily and added the sliced up the left over lamb meat (thank you Butcher) and 2 minutes noodles soaked in hot water and my own concoction of sauce made from preserved ginger in syrup with cornflour, soy sauce and garlic. Our tummies are happy! We are on a bit of a diet, no carbs , we have both expanded a bit but noodles were allowed today

So tonight the Butchers wife is making a souffle to go with the steak instead of chips. Gosh we have expanded our waistlines and i need to put my foot down. I for one am looking forward to the steak and lets see how this all goes. The Butcher is willing to try this new regimen :) i will send pictures when done.

Steak, chips, mushrooms and asparagus, mine is the tiny one, the Butcher polished off his free range steak! Its cheaper and with beautiful flavor, available at our butchery

So the Butcher wanted a steak this evening, the biiig one is his alone and the tiny one mine. He absolutely loves the free range steaks! I have made a seafood sauce and it will be served with beans, chips and a side cheesy salad. I think i can enjoy it. The poor Butchers, block men and staff are working full out to make your Christmas special. I hope they are having a good meal tonight
