Kwantu Village hosts the 5th edition of the annual Folk & Griot Festival (FAGF) - a music, art & lifestyle festival that promotes story-telling through varous artforms.

The festival is held on the weekends of the 16th, 23rd & 30th December, in a country town of Utrecht, eMadlangeni, KwaZulu.

We have some exciting activities for kids, friends & family which include live music (performance & vinyl DJs), art exhibition, shisa-lo-nyama, dinner & brunch, film / doccie viewing, 420-friendly bush bar, born fires, Balele Game Park drive, social games (play station, table soccer & pool), kids play area, free WIFI hotspot & other lifestyle activities.

Kwantu Village, Maboneng Township Arts Experience & Balele Game Park are pleased to host a world-class performance and education residency with the Roots Grown Deep world music ensemble from 9th - 14th August 2023 in Utrecht, KwaZulu-Natal.

Roots Grown Deep’s dynamic artistic members will co-facilitate & partake in the following programme, all happening at Kwantu Village, during their residency:

"Women's Day" Dinner & Dialogue welcoming the ensemble - Wednesday, 9th August, 18h00 - 20h00
Hosted by Mr Nico Moolman giving a historic encounter of Women’s Day. There will also be a presentation by Roots Grown Deep members on their story and work in communities around the world.

RSVP a table for a pizza and wine pairing at R150 per person / R250 per couple.

Kwantu Village hosts the 4th renamed edition of Family Day Market on Saturday, 3rd April 2021. A fun-filled day celebrating the ESSENCE OF FAMILY with friends, relatives & community at large.

DAY MARKET (10h00 - 16h00, FREE ENTRANCE)
Daytime activities include live performances (sound check & Open MIC), kids play area, market-like popup & stalls selling everything & anything - books, music, craft, clothes, food, art, fresh produce & more.

NIGHT MARKET (18h00 - 22h00, R100 ENTRANCE)
Nightlife activities include live performances,special popup dinner (see flyer for more details), bonfires, stargazing, socialising, food, chillout & more.

CHARGES & FEES
Free entrance during day, R100 for night show, discounted pre-sold night entrance @ R70 if paid earlier or confirmed booking. Cooler box @ R50. NB : drinking only allowed after 14h00, ice blocks / cubes @ R10 - R50; braai stand for hire @ R30; kids play area @ R10 - R50; Support the artists & practioneers during this time...
