The Impact of Our Alumni has gone Beyond the Classroom!

Farmers in Eastern Province are delighted with the knowledge and skills shared by our Diploma in Agroecology alumni and are embracing sustainable and organic agriculture practices in their fields.

Farmers are putting what they are learning into action and reaping the benefits of sustainable organic agriculture through healthy soils, improved production and more resilient farming systems.

Our alumni are proving that the true measure of education is not only what students learn, but the difference they make when they take that knowledge back to their communities.

We are proud to see our graduates serving as champions of agroecology and sustainable agriculture, inspiring farmers and transforming lives

Our Diploma in Agroecology Alumni… Where Are They Now???

We took some time to visit our former Diploma in Agroecology students in Eastern Province and see what they have been up to since graduating from Kasisi Agricultural Training Centre.

What we found was truly inspiring!

From their communities to their camps, our alumni are putting their knowledge and skills into practice, promoting Sustainable Organic Agriculture, supporting farmers, and contributing to the development of their communities.

Seeing our former students turn the knowledge gained at KATC into meaningful action has reminded us that education is not just about graduation; it is about the impact our graduates make wherever they go.

We are proud of how far they have come and the difference they are making in their communities and camps!

We are transforming communities, one student at a time!

Empowering Farmers to Lead Change!

Kasisi Agricultural Training Centre recently conducted a 4-day Training on Activism and Leadership for Farmers, bringing together our 25 Seed and Knowledge Initiative - SKI Lead Farmers to strengthen their leadership, advocacy, and community mobilization skills.

Throughout the training, participants explored effective leadership, public speaking, negotiation, advocacy strategies, and collective action.

Through interactive discussions, role plays, case studies, and peer learning, the farmers developed practical action plans to champion sustainable agriculture and advocate for the needs of their communities.

Strong farmer leaders are the foundation of resilient farming communities. By empowering farmers with the confidence and skills to influence policies, mobilize their peers, and work together, we are helping build a more inclusive, sustainable, and food-secure future.

Growing crops is important but we also believe in growing leaders who will inspire sustainable change.

We recently conducted a Capacity Building Training in Conflict Resolution Strategies for our 25 SKI Lead Farmers from Lufwanyama, Chongwe, and Rufunsa.

The five-day training equipped farmers with practical skills in communication, negotiation, mediation, and leadership to effectively manage conflicts within their communities and farmer groups.

By strengthening these skills, SKI lead farmers are better positioned to promote peaceful collaboration, inclusive decision-making, and resilient farming households.

Together, we are growing not only sustainable agriculture but also stronger, more united farmers within communities.
