Idi Amin Dada of Uganda ,Mwalli Kabarage Nyerere of Tanzania and mzee Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya🇺🇬🇹🇿🇰🇪 General Idi Amin once claimed some part of both Tanzania and kenya were belong to Uganda and wanted to annex them.
In February 1976, Ugandan dictator Idi Amin claimed large parts of Western Kenya and the Rift Valley—extending to within 30 km of Nairobi—belonged to Uganda, citing colonial-era boundaries. Kenya's President Jomo Kenyatta strongly countered, threatening to block Ugandan imports via Mombasa, prompting Amin to back down to avoid war.
In November 1978, Ugandan dictator Idi Amin declared the annexation of the Kagera Salient, a 710-square-mile area of northern Tanzania along the Kagera River. Claiming the land historically belonged to Uganda, this invasion triggered the Uganda-Tanzania War. Tanzania launched a massive counter-offensive, ultimately overthrowing Amin in 1979.
