BUSIIKA BEVERAGE
1. Soak busiika in water way before starting cooking mealie meal porridge.
2. Cook the porridge till well cooked and ready(may add sugar to taste at this stage to hot porridge) and remove from fire.
3. When busiika are well soaked in water, remove the seed chunks to make a thick busiika extract or juice.
4. While still warm add busiika extract to the porridge and mix well to make light munkoyo-like beverage.
During cold season, the the drink is better served when still warm.
In hot season like now, let the drink cool down and its ready for drinking.
