IAYSP Zambia Concludes Participation at the 2025 YouthConnekt Zambia Summit
Yesterday, IAYSP Zambia successfully concluded its participation in the 2025 YouthConnekt National Summit — a powerful gathering focused on empowering young people to lead Zambia’s green, innovative, and economically vibrant future.
The final day featured impactful remarks from key national leaders, including the NYDC CEO, the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, the Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts Hon. Elvis Nkandu, and the Vice President of the Republic of Zambia, Her Honour Dr. W.K. Mutale-Nalumango.
In her inspiring keynote address, the Vice President reminded the nation of the true power and place of young people. She shared humor and truth, saying:
“You know, sometimes I look around my party and I see ‘youths’ who are already 60 years old, still insisting they’re young at heart! And I say, well, that’s fine, but you, the real youths, are the ones with the energy, the ideas, and the future in your hands. The nation depends on your drive….”
She went on to emphasize that the ideas of young people are seeds of transformation — carrying the potential to reshape Zambia through technology, agriculture, the arts, entrepreneurship, and climate-responsive innovations.
Her Honour affirmed:
“The youth of Zambia are not just our future; they are our present strength and our greatest national treasure.”
As IAYSP Zambia, we echo these powerful words. We remain committed to nurturing young leaders, strengthening youth skills, and creating platforms where the creativity, resilience, and brilliance of Zambia’s youth can flourish.
Our participation in YouthConnekt 2025 has strengthened our resolve to continue empowering young people to lead with vision, responsibility, and a heart for national development.
Together, we will build a Zambia where the dreams of the youth are not only heard but realized.
Youth are the architects of a brighter tomorrow.
