An old fashioned general store with a touch of the modern, stocking just about everything you could We are open every day of the year.

Operating in Cook St, Flinders since 1866 and providing everything you could need from toothbrushes and toilet paper, to fruit and vegetables, gourmet produce and yummy treats. Fresh bread and local produce, a variety of meat and deli items, local and imported cheese, cakes, hot roast chooks, or everything you need to cook dinner. Fishing licenses, gas bottles and ice as well as bait and tackle. Beer, spirits, and a wide range of local Mornington Peninsula wines. Plus a newly installed espresso machine so you can even get a cappuccino to sip as you stroll home with the bread and paper. Maybe you want to buy all the tasty treats for your dinner party, maybe you've just been for a walk along the Pier and want a cold drink and an ice cream, or maybe you just need to necessities of: bread, milk, and a newspaper.

Fresh in store — beautiful mixed bunches of snapdragons & sweet williams, locally grown by Gentle Harvest.

Took one of the Sturgeon South Classic Apple Strudel Pie home and can confirm… absolutely delicious 🤎

Golden pastry, warm apple filling and that proper homemade goodness that tastes like someone’s been baking all afternoon. The kind of dessert that only needs a little cream, ice cream… or honestly, nothing at all.

Very dangerous to have these sitting in store 😅

Waratahs are back… well, sort of 😂❤️

They started selling before we’d put them out, and naturally I got emotional over flowers again. Very normal behaviour. Nothing to see here 😭🌿

We’ve ordered some more because apparently Flinders has decided Waratah season is a competitive sport.

Keep an eye out — they clearly don’t plan on hanging around. 🙌🏻

Dinner’s gone full Italian 🇮🇹🍝

These Carazita bow ties bring the red, white + green straight to the bowl.

For an easy dinner: sauté garlic + onion in olive oil, add sun-dried tomatoes, then stir through cream + Parmesan until silky. Toss through the cooked bow ties and finish with fresh basil, rocket, salt + pepper.

DO NOT BUY THIS Sturgeon South Belgian Chocolate & Hazelnut Tart…
unless you’re prepared for “just one little sliver” to somehow turn into half the tart. 😂🤎

That buttery, biscuit-y base, the smooth rich Belgian chocolate filling and crunchy hazelnuts are ridiculously good. It has that real homemade, made-with-heart kind of flavour that Sturgeon South do so well.

Consider this your warning… because once you start, good luck stopping. 😍
