Emo mum rant incoming 😂🥹 I’m not perfect, I’ve made many mistakes in my journey, but I believe to my core that as humans we’re here to choose to remember who we are at our core, before life moulded us into clones of one another.
IMO the whole point is to expand, love & try to be the best versions we can be. As I return home all emotional reflecting on my sons graduation camp, (time flies in the blink of an eye), I was thinking back on our lives & as I’m always asking the kids what their highlights are, I decided to ask myself the same.
The highlights that popped into my mind first were how grateful I am that pain & loss made me aware of how fleeting life can be & how it can end in an instant, this made me cherish the little things & those little things are my kids.
Knowing I was the only parent left for them, made me prioritise play, connection, experiences. It forced me to create a life from nothing, where I could be there at drop off & pick up, & never miss their precious milestones. Whilst many parents can’t afford to do the same, that makes me rich.
I feel fortunate I was able to be present with my kids & afford to take them to explore WA, over endless hours at a mundane desk being told who to become & how to think.
I’m so grateful I prioritised natural healing over money & quick toxic pharmaceutical bandaids, when the world forced them down my throat.
Most of all I’m so grateful I chose to make cherished memories & ensure their childhood was grounded in nature, always the best medicine, even though others called me crazy or a “hippie crackpot” for taking them out of school & being non-conventional.
My entire life I’ve fought back on advice & judgement from people who spend their lives living in fear, lack & misery.
So it’s kind of ironic that during a time where on paper I have no riches whatsoever, I feel richer & more blessed than ever.
I’m so grateful I chose a life for us rooted in purpose, passion & love, which hasn’t been easy…but easy doesn’t create growth, fulfilment or happiness.
So if you’re in one of those times in life where you’re a little lost, just know living authentically will always be a f
