Gussie's Kitchen We currently support people with food insecurity We support our community by providing many different services. There are many more services to add to the list.

Gussies Community is made up of a number of amazing volunteers who support the needs of those that live within the area we are based - Rother Ward, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Gussies Pantry Shop - supporting those households experiencing food insecurity. Gussies Kitchen Café - providing a social eating experience. Gussies Jumble Shop - Recycling clothing and household items. The RAY Programme - Rot

her Active Youth, which provides the young people within our area FREE activities to take part in, in every school holiday. Langer Field Park Community Group - providing a yearly gala for our community to come together once a year and looks after the interests of our park. Friends of SAGE (SS Augustine Garden Escape) - a group of volunteers working together to make the back of our wonderful church a more relaxing place. We are a forever growing community and welcome new volunteers throughout the year and are there for anyone that needs us. Gussies Kitchen Pantry Shop are supporting families experiencing food insecurity across Chesterfield.

The pantry is the next step along from emergency food provisions, such as food banks. Our referred members are assessed to be able to join and pay a small amount for a shop where they can choose from fruit and vegetables, fridge and freezer items alongside the usual tinned, packet and jarred foods, as well as toiletries and cleaning products.

They save on average £30 - £40 per week by shopping with us. The savings they make help them to pay their household bills which they may otherwise have to choose not to pay to be able to feed themselves and their families.

If you are a local business that may be in a position to support us with donations of money, collections of food for our pantry or clothing for our Gussies Boutique then please get in touch.

Together we can continue to make a difference.
