There are moments that deserve confetti… 🎉 and today is one of those moments.
The six-figure construction contract has been signed. The check has arrived. After months (that occasionally felt like years…) of planning, paperwork, meetings, fundraising, dreaming, problem-solving, and reminding ourselves to breathe… renovations are officially about to begin‼️
If you’ve followed our journey from a little farmers market with a big dream to The Local Collective Market, then this moment belongs to you just as much as it belongs to us.
This has never simply been about opening a building. It’s been about bringing health back home, about making wellness accessible instead of exclusive, about creating a place where fresh food, education, agriculture, community, and opportunity all live under one roof. A place where neighbors become friends, where children learn lifelong skills, where local farmers and makers thrive, and where everyone has a seat at the table.
As we grow, we’ll continue expanding our mission, learning from this incredible community, evolving to meet its needs, and finding even more ways to improve the quality of life throughout Sistersville and the greater Ohio Valley.
The finish line we’ve been chasing? We’ve realized it isn’t a finish line at all. It’s the start line.
