Mountaineer Meats (formerly RD Meats) offers Retail Sales of locally grown beef & pork products, as well as commercial & custom processing of your livestock.

Customers can purchase whole or half beef or hogs as well as locally raised lambs and goats.

We are currently only processing Hunter Harvest: Deer, Elk, Bear, etc... Our office hours will be:
M-F 9:00AM - 3:00PM
Sat 9:00AM - 1:00PM

There is a few phone numbers on the office door for after hours drop-offs (up to 8PM). No one available after 8 PM for drop-offs.

We currently are not processing or selling Beef or Pork until after the first of the year (2027).

We are processing your legally harvested deer & bear this year. Additionally, we are a WV DNR designated drop off location for the Hunters Helping the Hungry program. This year Whitetail Frenzy is sponsoring a contest for folks that donate their harvest for the WV HHH program.

Hunters:
You can drop off your deer or bear for processing 7 days a week beginning today:
M - F 8AM - 7PM (4PM-7PM call the number on the front door)
Sat 8AM - 1PM (1PM - 7PM call the number on the front door)
Sun - 8AM - 7PM call the number on the front door.

Note: Animal must be field-dressed, tagged with hunters name, phone number and tag number/check in number.

If you want your antlers, please cut them off and don't leave here. If you need caped for a mount, please leave note stating that and your taxidermist name & number so I can contact them to pick up the cape for mounting.

If you are donating your deer for the Hunters Helping the Hungry, please note that as well.

WV Deer Archery season is only a few days away. We are processing deer & bear as well as participating in the WV Hunters Helping the Hungry program again this year.

Deer - $125 skinned, cut, vac packed, labeled & ready for pick up.
Bear - $160 skinned, cut, vac packed, labeled & ready for pick up.

We don't accept animals that have not been field dressed or if they are starting to spoil.

Hunting seasons are beginning depending on where & what you hunt. We will be processing wild game again this year (Deer, Bear, Elk, Antelope, Boar, or any other big game animal). We are also participating in the WV Hunters Helping the Hungry Program again this year. You can donate your harvest at our location. Check out the WV DNR website for more information.
Our prices:
Deer, Boar & Antelope start at $125
Bear & Elk start at $160
Prices can vary depending on cuts, seasonings, further processing selections. Prices include custom cutting, vacuum packing cuts, labeling and freezing for pick up.
