Though not exactly of the depot itself, a beautiful scene of the railroad tracks running through Saluda, getting ready to descend the famous Saluda Grade as it crosses Greenville St. heading towards Tryon. The tracks were first completed from Spartanburg to Pace's Gap on July 1st, 1878. Pace's Gap was later renamed Saluda in February of 1881, 145 years ago this month. I wonder if there was snow on the tracks on this date in 1878 or in 1881, as there is today. :)
