When we say fresh, local produce takes time, this is what we mean. 🌱🍅 What you’re seeing here is our second rotation of tomatoes going into the ground along with peppers. Over the next few weeks we’ll continue planting additional rotations of vegetables throughout the season.
Why? Because staggered plantings help us keep the harvest coming for as long as possible, right up until frost. One of the things we love most about farming is that every harvest starts months before it reaches the market. Behind every tomato, pepper, and ear of corn is a whole season of planning, planting, and patience.
For now, we’re planting. Before long, we’ll be harvesting. And before you know it, these fields will be full of the summer produce. 🍅☀️
